30 lookups an hour per IP address, counted over a rolling hour. The X-RateLimit-Remaining header tells you what is left, and a 429 comes with Retry-After.
Domains, IPs and ASNs. Paste a URL or a subdomain and you get its registered domain.
Every published contact under result.contacts: owner, admin, tech, billing, and for networks abuse and NOC, with addresses, emails and phones.
Add ?raw=1 for the registry’s untouched answer next to the tidy one.
Answers are cached for an hour, so a repeat question is instant.

Where does it come from?

RDAP first, the registries’ modern JSON service, found through IANA’s public bootstrap files. Registries that still have no RDAP, like .io, .de and .jp, are asked over classic WHOIS instead.

Do you show the owner?

Yes, whenever the registry or registrar publishes it: name, organisation, address, email and phone. Many now hide personal details under privacy law, and some owners use a privacy service instead. Both are labelled.

What is kept?

The lookup counter holds a scrambled form of your address for an hour. Answers are cached for an hour to spare the registries. Like any website, the server also keeps ordinary access logs.
